About Lindsey

Lindsey is a licensed psychotherapist with a Masters degree in Science and Social Work.  She provides counseling services for adults with a broad range of issues including mood disorders, anxiety struggles, substance abuse, personality disorders, trauma, and daily life struggles with documented success.

Lindsey has substantial experience with individuals struggling with active addiction and recovery.  She has provided 17 years of counseling and teaching services in residential dual diagnosis treatment centers and is co-author of the treatment curriculum currently used in all AAC (American Addiction Centers) treatment facilities.

Lindsey, a graduate of The University of Texas at Arlington, opened her private practice in Texas in 2013, and is trained and certified through the Counseling Services for Fire Fighters, specializing in supporting first responders.

Lindsey’s approach to therapy is influenced by CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), SFT (Solution Focused Therapy), and MI (Motivational Interviewing).  This technical approach is enriched with tools for mindful living that encourage  focus on the present moment and welcoming  and accepting change.

Lindsey is also trained, certified and CIT in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).  EMDR is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences.
